Contemplating Names

Done in the old traditions of painting, this image was designed to portray a holiday image. Some may see it as magical, religious or just a reflective moment. For images of Father Christmas, I tend to paint him a bit more contemplative and a manifestion of wisdom through time. Here my hope was to catch a moment of thought before words or names are transcribed...it is the moment before conviction or a decision.
