Winter Visitor

Every time  I see a Cardinal, it is as if I see it for the first time. Here in New England, winters can be long, but when a Cardinal appears, it is a reminder that somethings in nature can maintain their inherent color, even when everything around them has lost its hue.

This painting was a derivative of an image from photographer Timothy Dykes.
